Live peaceably with all men.

Not "Peace" as in a hippie kind of way. Not "Peace" as in, evil is allowed to flourish, and the believer does nothing about it, because you want to love and be at "peace" with evil, but "peace" (or peaceably) as in keeping sound speech, a sound mind, being Pauline in doctrine and behavior, without heresies or issues abounding.

Peace is defined in the dictionary as "freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility:" That's not going to be easy getting that in a post-truth, sin-cursed, "present-evil" world (Galatians 1:4), but as much as lieth in us, we're to live peaceably with all men, per our Apostle Paul.

1 Corinthians 7:15 says that "God hath called us to peace" (Don't you Calvinists get in an uproar about that verse...that's for one to follow Paul's instructions. One has not been called since before the foundation of the world to peace). What better peace to make someone who was once an enemy a friend, by giving him or her the gospel, and explaining it to them until they get it. It may take more than one conversation, it may take more than a year, but as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

2 Corinthians 13:11 - "Live in peace" (confirming what's been said in Romans 12...not strife, not division...don't create it with doctrine) Live in peace with those you desire to see saved (as you give them the gospel, forgiving them as they misunderstand you), and with your brothers and sisters in Christ, who are either learning and growing, or who have far surpassed you in bible acumen and wisdom.

Colossians 3:14 - "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts".

1 Thessalonians 5:13 - "Be at peace among yourselves"

2 Timothy 2:22 - "But flee also youthful lusts; but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." (It's not just living in peace going forward....leave some things behind...in fact, flee them. Flee also youthful lusts. Follow peace. Not Gandhi. Don't look for Nirvana or Zen, that's not peace. That's doctrinal disturbance of the worst kind. Remember, peace is defined as "Freedom from disturbance;" Remember the goal is living peaceably with all men.)

Now again, based on what was mentioned from an earlier blog; if you're zooming through Romans 12, and reading it in a record time of 45 seconds, these words are gone in a matter of one second, two tops. Time must be taken to study that "...which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual." 1 Corinthians 2:13

Compare the verses and study. build up and rightly divide the Word of Truth in your understanding. Just reading is not enough to get what's needed from your King James Bible. Learn what Paul says, learn and Live peaceably with all men.
